Going to Africa
Today is the day we head to Zambia in Africa - with a team of eight and two more joining us in a week. Thad, Julie, Billy, Diane, Nav, Bobby and Maggie, have been several times to the same spot but for Chris, Barbara and Pam, it will be a totally new experience. Already we have had the opportunity to bond as we have had meetings to prepare and organize. Please read the Prayer Guide entry and continue to read our up-dates.
We want to THANK YOU for all the encouragement and support you have given us. We sent out a request for vitamins to give to the children and adults who will come to "see the doctor" and we were overwhelmed with the response. We are going to have a long plane ride --(18 hours) so we would appreciate it if you would go on and start Praying that we have a safe journey, arrive with smiles, a good attitude, and feelings of high expectations. We all feel Blessed to have the opportunity for this medical mission and we hope this trip will be one that we can help many with their medical needs as well as plant seeds of God's love. We are looking forward to lots of laughs and good times together and hopefully our happiness will be contageous. Thanks to all of you who came to the airport to see us off........so until the next entry "up up and away !
