Missionary Reflections on our Summer Interns
As Jackie & Tyler, our inaugural Global Summer Interns, began their travel back home, we received this note from our full-time missionary in Zambia, Janet Sisco, as she reflects on their time in Africa:
Well, I just saw Tyler and Jackie off at the Lusaka airport. They were tired, excited, sad and expectant. They definitely left an impact on Zambia. As we traveled to the airport, Tyler received several phone calls from new friends wishing he and Jackie safe travel and encouraging them to return next year. Not only will they be missed by the Zambians, they will be missed by this missionary. They were such an encouragement to me. If they represent the future of missions, we can expect great things of the next generation of missionaries. May God speed their journey home and protect them as they travel.
NOTE: Jackie & Tyler arrived safely back in Memphis on Saturday afternoon (7/12) to a crowd of family and well-wishers. They will begin their formal debrief process on Tuesday afternoon.
