Another Update from Zambia

Tomorrow is my last day to be in Jembo so as my time has narrowed down I've spend alot of time journaling and reflecting on what I've learn and how I've seen Christ work. I've definitely learned that the best way to share Christ with people is to first make an effort to meet their greatest needs. In my case, one of the greatest needs in Jembo is education, particularly in the subject of Math. Seeing as how my #1 spiritual gift is teaching, I thought it was neat that God worked it out for me to be in Jembo. So, I've been teaching a math class four times a week, and usually afterwards spending additional time tutoring individuals both in English and Math. I've also been attending prayer meetings, Bible studies, devotion times, and disciple groups. I've had the opportunity to council several young women and witnessed how God can use an encouraging word to lift up people's spirits. I've also been able to give nine Bibles away to students who have asked me if I could get them one. David, one of the boys who asked me for one, is the chaplain of the school's Bible club. Another girl who didn't have one, Milly, leads Tuesday afternoon Bible study. When I gave these kids Bibles you would have thought that I had handed them the world. My whole trip to Zambia was worth it just to see that.

As for Tyler, I've talked to him a bit, and I know he has seen God work in ways that he would most likely not get to witness back home. He has been part of a team that has prayed over a number of people possessed by evil spirits and as a result has been able to see the amazing power that is in the name of Jesus Christ. From what I understand, the people with whom he has had the chance to share the gospel have for the most part been very responsive. So that is definitely an answer to prayer!

Thank you so much for your prayers, they have been answered in amazing ways. Please continue to pray that our last couple of days of ministry will be successful in the furthering of God's kingdom and that we will not become weary but that we will rest in the joy and grace that He has given us.

Can't wait to see you guys!
