China Team Prayer Guide
Our team left Memphis this morning to serve special needs orphans in China. Here's a prayer guide to use while they are away and updates will appear as they are able to send them.
Thursday, Oct. 16th – Travel – Pray that God would cleanse our hearts and prepare us for service. Psalms 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Friday, Oct. 17th – Arrival – Pray for our team’s adjustment to a different time zone, for our rest and God’s spirit to fill us. Psalms 31:15 My times are in your hands.
Saturday, Oct. 18th – Orientation – Pray for us that we might be completely humble and see these children through Jesus eyes. Eph. 1:18 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you.
Sunday, Oct. 19th – Worship – Pray that we might be changed as we pour our hearts out in worship and experience his move in China. Deut. 4:29 But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Monday, Oct. 20th – Service – Pray for unity and forbearance as 3 teams combine as 1 to complete a difficult task. John 17:23 May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me.
Tuesday, Oct. 21st – Service – Prayer for our joy and strength. Neh 8:10 The joy of the Lord is my strength.
Wednesday, Oct. 22nd – Activities – Pray that we will see Jesus as we minister to the least of these. Matt. 25:40 Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.
Thursday, Oct. 23rd – Great Wall – Pray that God would open our eyes to his desire for the Chinese and all his children. Rev. 7:9 I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes.
Friday, Oct. 24th – Activities – Pray that we can give ourselves fully to the children. Matt 19:14 Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
Saturday, Oct. 25th – Activities – Pray that he would use our hands and our feet to accomplish what he desires. I Cor. 6:19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.
Sunday, Oct. 26th –Travel Home – Pray that our journey with God will never be the same as we return to live in Memphis. 2 Cor. 3:18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness.
