Medical Team in high gear !
Greetings to all..... Just as we were getting ready to send the blog last night, the power went off.......so we just continued with devotionals and "my journey" time. Having "fruit of the spirit" as our devotional theme has been meaningful for all of us....lots of thought provoking questions;laughs; sharing and learning. During the week -end most of the team got a start on their "shopping but mäny of us have been going to the local market which is right next door to our Guest House.
The 'surgeries are getting to be so many that we had to make a list of ones we could handle and which were needed in order for the patient to live -------rather than "first come / first serve" We have loved getting to know the hospital staff and connecting with patients as the days go by.
All of us are involved with hospital and medical "duties and it would take many paragraphs to write the stories.....but we will certainly fill you in when we get back...all about the patients, bush trips, visitors, orphanages, Peace Corps girls, a call in the night, babies, eating out, shopping,new sheets, Joan and Dr. Dan, dedication of the staff housing that our church helped fund; weather; donkeys, etc ---(and on and on )
We feel Blessed for spiritual talks we have heard...and we have all loved being a team here for the Zambians.
We have another full day tomorrow - then we will start to get ready for the plane ride back to Tennessee.on Sat. - arrivin g in USA on Sunday.
If we have enough "free time"to blog in one more time with some good stuff , we will. Janet is a wonderful Host for us...in every way..
