Friday April 25 #2

Ooops.

Remember, these are the top leaders of the Pilgrim Weslyean Church. They have a great knowledge of scripture, an understanding of people, and great insight. We have been excited to realize that God is raising up wise, passionate Christian leaders all over the world, including Africa. It is interesting that politics is not just an American issues. We have almost stepped into some of the political issues within the church, but I believe they have been handled delicately. 

Please pray for Janet. Not only does she have Bronchitus, but also a touch of Malaria. It was caught early, so she is taking medication and is doing fine. She continues to serve even while sick and we are very thankful for her.

Since our last update, we have learned a few more things: Adam does not like to order the same food as everyone else; Nshima (like grits) is good but they need to serve it with butter, salt and pepper, or sugar per Albert; the PWC is lead by a wise group, and Sitali is a wise, humble servant leader; Albert likes to stay up late; the water is cut off at night, so one has to make sure to get one's business done early in the evening; napkins are called serviettes; Albert still snores and Eric still REALLY likes coffee; the larger church in Africa has a passion and hunger to share the gospel; they lack many resources we take for granted, but many of the Christian organizations (such as Campus Crusade) in the US have a developing presence here; Microsoft crashes the same in Africa as it does in the US; Albert is a part-time techie,thankfully.
