Tuesday at PHF

It's Tuesday evening here in China and the team just wrapped up its first full day with a nice meal in Langfang. This morning we toured all of the homes at Shepherd's Field and this afternoon was primarily devoted to arts & crafts with some of the older kids from the last remaining homes in Langfang. Everyone seems to have slept relatively well last night and the entire team is in good health...although most everyone is ready for bed now--it's 8 pm here. Today's unanimous selection for "story of the day" happened to Milt & Christopher, so I'll let Christopher tell what happened:

During midday we moved all of the kids from the arts and crafts tables to the playground in Shepherd's Field. A few of the kids got onto the spinning merry-go-round and Mr. Milt pushed it for them. When everyone was tired of being dizzy, the son of one of the PHF doctors picked up one of the little boys to help him off the merry-go-round. The little boy started laughing and we all turned around and asked ourselves why a leg was laying in the sand! This moment was quickly followed by the doctor's son saying 'huh...his prosthetic....' So, Mr. Milt got the privilege of his first ever reattachment of a limb...no pain included!
